Judy Clarke is Executive Director of the Community Defender Program for the Eastern District of Washington and Idaho. Ms. Clarke has been a criminal defense for over 20 years. She represented Susan Smith in South Carolina, and more recently, Ted Kaczynski in the Unabomber case. Ms. Clarke is a Past President of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. In 1998, the National Law Journal named Judy one of the top 50 women lawyers in the United States.
